Tour of Vision 3
Vision 3 is designed around a normal repertorisation workflow: find the rubrics you need, collect them on a clipboard, repertorise the case, and then investigate the remedies that emerge.

The illustration above shows the main areas of the Vision 3 screen.
1. Menus
The menus at the top of Vision provide access to the full range of commands and settings. Many of the commands you will use most often are also available directly from the toolbar.
2. Main toolbar
The toolbar gives quick access to frequently used functions such as Browse, Search, Repertorise, Remedy Compare, Patients, Insights and Settings.
3. Work-area tabs
The tabs at the left change the type of information shown in the Explorer:
Reps — Repertories
MM — Materia Medica
Rx — Remedies
Dict — Dictionary
Pats — Patients
4. Repertory Explorer
When working with repertories, use the Explorer to choose the repertory and chapter you want to view.
You can expand repertories to see their chapters and move between them while building your case.
5. Browse and Search
There are two main ways to find rubrics in Vision.
Browse lets you work through the structure of a repertory and see rubrics in their proper context.
Search lets you look for rubrics using words or phrases when you do not already know exactly where they occur.
You can use both methods freely while working on the same case.
6. Clipboards
Rubrics selected while browsing or searching are placed onto Vision's clipboards.
The clipboards are where you build the group of symptoms that you want Vision to analyse together.
Vision provides several clipboards so that you can keep different analyses or groups of rubrics separate when required.
7. Main workspace
The large central area is Vision's principal working space.
Depending on what you are doing, it can show repertory text, search results, Materia Medica, repertorisation results and other information.
8. Selected remedy pane
When you select a remedy, related information can be displayed in the panel on the right while you continue working with the case.
9. Status and display controls
The status bar at the bottom of Vision shows your current location and provides controls appropriate to the part of Vision you are using.
The basic Vision workflow
Most repertorisation work in Vision follows this simple sequence:
Browse or search for rubrics → add the rubrics to a clipboard → repertorise the clipboard → investigate the leading remedies.
You do not need to learn every part of Vision before beginning. The next tutorial takes you through this complete process step by step.
